At the end of this course unit students should be able to,

  ILO 1: describe biodiversity at different ecosystems

  ILO 2: apply diversity indices for different ecosystems

Contents:

•Species diversity, ecosystem diversity and genetic diversity.  Functional diversity, Patterns of biodiversity (α, β and γ), Ecological indicators, indexes,  and diversity indices for ecological conditions of various aquatic habitats

•End semester exam: 85% (theory)- 1 hour and 15 minutes
